Position Details

Corporate Training Specialist

  • Ravenna, Ohio
  • Job purpose

    Responsible for the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs; conduct needs assessments, identification of training grants; execute training, develop reinforcements and evaluate outcomes.

     

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment

    • Manage the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs as well as ongoing

      learning opportunities across the organization, in support of the organization’s needs.

    • Work with Corp. HR Manager to finalize and implement training strategy, milestones, topics, and audiences.

    • Partner with functional areas (i.e. quality, operations, safety) to outline deliverables regarding subject matter specific training.

    • Focus on hands-on learning at the plant levels

    • Investigate the availability and eligibility of state, federal, and local training grants.

    • Utilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices

      to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs

    • Conduct specific training needs assessments to support the design, development and delivery of

      corporate training programs and strategies

    • Monitor and measure effectiveness of all training programs

    • Partner with individual departments to outline deliverables, expectations and risks, to include

      specific training needs for staff

    • Other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development, and training methodologies

    • Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)

    • “Big” picture focus in both departmental and company strategy

    • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Computer literate with in-depth knowledge of MS office and web based systems; visual aid

     

                                                   

    Working conditions and environment

    Approximately 25-50% travel required.  Training will take place in both office and manufacturing environments.
